The Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) collects and distributes mechanical royalties for music publisher, songwriter and composer members, alongside a network of global affiliate societies, when their music is reproduced in any format. MCPS is owned by the Music Publishers Association (MPA), making it the only rights management organisation in the world wholly owned by music publishers. This enables MCPS to remain wholly aligned with its members’ requirements, while always putting the protection and livelihoods of the songwriters and composers we represent at the heart of all we do.
